A Feast Of Words And Image
Linda Jackson on Bob Beagrie
The Ever-rooted Magician that is Bob Beagrie.
I met Bob a few years ago and have remained enlightened, and gifted hope, by the level of integrity and questing in his poetry.
Experimental and philosophical in his language, he continues to be grounded/ rooted in the everyday ‘stuff’ of urban existence while sharing his benevolent connection with nature.
Bob has many poetry collections which span across various time periods and multiple environments and in many, there is a seeker, a travelling narrator negotiating pitfalls, ascending to heights (both physically and emotionally), traversing through archetypal imagery to forge a path through the fragments, myths and uncertainties to finally achieve a level of momentary understanding or at least reach some degree of quietened acceptance.
An outstanding poet who views writing as ‘an act of resistance’. Onward Bob.
